Step Stool 01

Step Stool 01 is an infinitely versatile piece of furniture. Rounded feet and chunky proportions give it a playful character whilst visible joinery adds a touch of sophistication.

The stool serves as a seat, step ladder, bedside table, bookshelf, plant stand, or an impromptu footrest, making it a truly flexible and adaptable piece. With careful attention to ergonomics, a carry handle is cut from the seat surface, further adding to the stools practicality.

Constructed using housing joints and opposed dowel joints, the design exceptionally strong.

Cleaning instructions

The design is finished in premium spill and stain-resistant oil and can be wiped clean with a cloth and warm water.

Material sourcing

As always, responsible material sourcing is key to my working practice; the wood used to make this piece comes from a tree grown local to my workshop and felled as part of a native woodland regeneration project.
