Lounge Table in Oak

A lounge table is often the heart of a living space. The notion behind this piece was to create a simple, easygoing character that would present utility to the lounge with an assured charm. The kind of personality you'd appreciate hanging around in your lounge indefinitely.

Solid oak reliably brings a relaxed hue to any space, but it somehow always seems to maintain a dignified presence.

The table's form is particularly easy to interpret, the stout legs and slim top being nothing more than circles. What defines its character are the cheekily contrasting proportions. The soft roundover to the lower edge of the table top offsets the weight of the legs, resulting in a piece that feels well-grounded and balanced.

Exposed round wedged tenon joinery add an appealing detail to the table's surface, and being exposed, works to support the tables honest character.

Cleaning instructions

The design is finished in premium spill and stain-resistant oil and can be wiped clean with a cloth and warm water.

Material sourcing

As always, responsible material sourcing is key to my working practice; the wood used to make this piece comes from a tree grown local to my workshop and felled as part of a native woodland regeneration project.
