Nest - Playful egg storage in Sycamore, Oak and reclaimed Mahogany

A deserving celebration of the humble egg, Nest is a worktop focal point for creative bakers, fresh pasta makers, and proud egg enthusiasts.

The playful Nest draws inspiration from the tessellating hexagonal structures built by bees and the classic '80s puzzle Tetris for its moreishly engaging design.

To move these organic forms around one another feels curiously satisfying. The holders serve equally well as an entertaining kitchen island centrepiece as they do storage for eggs. 

Each piece is produced using custom-made tooling to shape the intricate, compound-curved forms. Once shaped, the surfaces are sanded by hand then finished in either raw effect or natural semi-matt hard wax.

Nest is sold in sets of three, providing nine spaces per set.

As always, responsible material sourcing is key to my working practice; any new wood used to make this piece comes from a tree grown local to my workshop and felled as part of a native woodland regeneration project.

Cleaning instructions: The design is finished in premium spill and stain-resistant hard wax and can be wiped clean with a cloth and warm water.
